The Snuggie = Cult Wear

I just saw an infomercial for the "Snuggie", which is a blanket with sleeves. Do we really need a blanket with sleeves. Is it too hard to throw on a $5 sweatshirt and a pair of socks? Apparently it is. Watching the infomercial, however, I was struck by how much it looks like the cult-wear or typical clothing that you see in the movies for the evil armies.

The Snuggie Itself

Lots of them in secret conclave

*Imperial Guard Snuggie* LOL!

Reminds me of an old Irish drinking song, that I have on a CD but don't have the words handy. However, one line of it is "Buttons on a blanket I never did see before." Ditto for sleeves!

I totally ordered it! And it comes with another one FREE!

And yes I am 40 and said totally. And yes my 7 year old niece expressed her want of one when we were watching tv. She is getting the other one..... Though she thinks I am a TOTAL LOOSER! (I did that on purpose) for ordering the burgandy. She wants light blue. It doesnt come in that color. It just looks like that on the screen.

My daughter was talking/laughing about this item/garment yesterday -she said its basically a dressing gown worn back to front but it looks like a cult garment
I love the idea of the impreial guard snuggie

it's too bad the Snuggie has that drafty, hospital gown thing going for it... it would be better if it wrapped around all the way
